Joining Us

There is nothing mysterious or complicated about joining the group. The current annual cost is $25.

There are two easy ways to join:

• Come to one of our monthly meetings - membership dues are $25 if you would like to join.
• Mail in a check for $25 and include your contact information.

What We Do

Critique Groups

We offer a variety of critique groups, taking place in different areas of town and focusing on different subjects from novels to screen writing to short stories to poetry. If we don't have a critique group that fits your needs, we'll help you start one!

We can help with that troubling blank page or screen. The trick is to take some kind of action today!

Monthly Meetings

• Free
• Second Saturday of every month, except when they're not.
• Speakers on a wide variety of topics that obsess writers, including how to write, how to sell and how to research.
• Time after the formal meeting to get to know each other.

Occasional Seminars

• Longer seminars offering more in-depth focus on topics that obsess writers
• Reasonable cost

The Good Word

A monthly email news bulletin keeps us current on members' successes, book signings, seminars, contests, Web sites and more.

Spreading the Word

Not only are we focusing on our own group, we're also trying to build a strong writing community in the area. We disseminate information on every other writers group and activity we hear about.
